Killian was going to have a son. Or had a son? He wasn't sure how to phrase it. He knew that Josephine had gone into the hospital. They still weren't on the best terms though and Killian didn't want to push the girl so much that she ran away from him again. He had a habit of pushing her to the brink or fucking up in one way or another. Killian always fucked things up with Josephine. It was time to fix all that though. He needed this girl in his life. Fuck...he loved her more than life. More than anything or anyone that he has ever encountered before. Though, he never really loved anyone besides himself before.
That's when he made the decision that he was going to get his girl back. He would speak until he was blue in the face. Somehow, someway, he would make Josephine understand that he was never going to fuck up again. He was there for her. He was all in. Nothing was going to stop him from making sure that she had the best life. Josephine deserved someone who took care of her and made her happy. Someone who took care of her and her son...Their son. The baby was part of both of them. He loved the child and he hasn't even met him yet. Things were shifting in Killian.
Standing outside of the hospital room door, Killian held the flowers in his hand that he had purchased. He felt like a dumbass standing there. He didn't even know if she would want to see him. It was worth a try though. Raising his hand, he knocked on the closed door before edging it open just a bit and taking a step inside. The boy couldn't bring himself to look up and into the room though. Something about being here was making him nervous. Killian wasn't a nervous guy. This was all new to him. Can I come in...? His voice was low as he stood there. Maybe he should just back out slowly and head home. She probably didn't even want him to be here. What had happened to his confidence?
After he had announced himself, the nurses were in front of him, blocking his way to his girl. Killian would have understood if she didn't want him there. Merlin knows that Killian had fucked up time and time again and if she was finally done with him, it would have made sense. But that wasn't true...his eyes flashing up from their place on the floor when her voice said his name. It was a low and pained calling. Killian's teeth dug into his lower lip as he watched the tears form and cascade down her cheeks.
If there was anything he could do to take Jo out of the pain of the moment and place it on himself, he would do it in a heartbeat. He had faced enough pain in his life. He had let the Elite give him their best and hid in the shadows while he recovered and nursed his pride. He had only stayed away to keep his family safe...Killian had only joined so that Cian would not fall further to the whims of the Elite. His other siblings needed to be kept safe and far away from the evil plans. And even if they had fallen, Killian wasn't sure if they were all gone. So he had stayed away. But something called him to Josephine now and it had become crystal clear. They needed to be together now.
I need him.
That was all it took for Killian to rush forward. For him to take Jo's reached out hand and enveloped it in his own. I'm here. He was ready to fight the nurses tooth and nail to be able to stay in the room with her. He would fight James if that was what it would take. He was meant to be here. Where was James anyways? If that little fucker had loved Jo so much, he would have been here while she forced a child into this world. But he was nowhere in sight. Killian was okay with that though. He would ease her pain in anyway that he could. He was the one who was meant to be by her side.
What....what can I do? What do you need? This wasn't a situation that he had ever encountered before. He could take blood and screaming. Pain and agony. But not for her. Never for her. This woman was not meant to be in pain. His eyes looked pleadingly down at her, hoping for someway to take away the pain that was lacing her body. I'm here, I love you. He just continued talking, rubbing his finger back and forth against the back of her hand. trying to find some way of comfort.
The room erupted into chaos around him. Killian didn't know what was going on. The baby was whisked away in a hurry. He had barely caught a glance of the child's face before he was out of the room. The nurses were up in a tizzy around him. They were scrambling, shouting about Josephine not breathing...That she's bleeding. She's hemorrhaging. None of the nurses would look at him though. They didn't take a moment to say a word to him about what was going on to Jo. He was loosing her and there was nothing he could do to get her back.
Killian knew that Josephine would want him to go with the child and not leave the boy's side but that wasn't even an option for the Flint. There was no way he was ever leaving her side again. Especially not when she needed him there the most. But he couldn't even hold her hand any longer. They had shoved him away so he was standing on the outskirts of the room. Only able to look on in horror as his life slipped through his fingers. Don't let her fucking die! Do something! But they were doing something. Killian couldn't help the anger that bubbled up through his pain and worry. One of the male healers rushed over to him, grabbing him by the shoulders, trying to push him out of the room. Sir...We need you to step out so we can do our job. His eyes practically popped out of his head. There was no way he was leaving the room. They weren't making him go. You're fucking out of your mind if you think I'm leaving this room. It was all Killian could do to not punch the man in the face.
Killian had fucked up with Josephine time and time again. He had fucked other females while they were together. He had not cared for Josephine's feelings in the slightest. All he had cared about was getting his needs met. But somewhere along the way he had fallen for her. The feelings creeping into his heart, bubbling into something that would not go away. The feelings festered, turning into the love he held now. No matter how much pain had came up between them, Killian wouldn't change any of it. Everything that happened between them had gotten them to where they were. Had brought them together. But now there was this...And Killian didn't know how to handle this.
Shoving the man's hands off of his shoulders, Killian put his hands up, trying to show the healer that he wouldn't get in the way. That he would stay back and away from them while they were working. Jo...Come on.... It felt like a rock had formed in his throat as he tried to speak. He had just told her that he wasn't going anywhere. She wasn't allowed to leave him. If either of them needed the other, it was Killian. She was the one who brought him down to earth and made him sane. She made sure that he didn't turn into a monster. Don't leave me, Jo... His words were to himself as he raked his hands through his hair and collapsed onto his knees, tears forming in his eyes. This couldn't be the end of them. They were just getting better.
